Rita teaches weekly classes on:

Yoga means ‘union’ and Amrita means ‘nectar of life’ translated from Sanskrit. Yoga Amrita’s focus is on the health of body, mind and soul. You do not have to be flexible or strong, as yoga will improve your body posture and condition when practised on a regular basis.
Rita Kreileman is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher on Junior Intermediate-1 level and has been teaching since 2006. Rita is also an accredited Naturopath, Nutritionist, Herbalist, and Past Life (Hypno)Therapist. She finds balance, compassion and mindfulness is what makes life meaningful. Frequently asked questions

It's my first time, what do I need to know?

We look forward to meeting you! Please arrive 10 minutes early. Doors open 15–20 minutes before class starts. All equipment is provided. Changing room and toilet available. Payments by cash, visa or credit card. Avoid eating for 2 hours before class, and please refrain from wearing strong perfumes in the studio. Just wear clothes you are comfortable in. Please inform your teacher of any injuries, medical conditions or special needs before class. Please feel to chat to Rita if you have any questions.

What's the difference between the classes?

Beginner Courses
All ages and fitness levels are welcome. You do not have to have a certain level of fitness or flexibility to join as the course is designed for beginners. Beginner courses run in 10 week blocks. Bookings essential. Email Rita. 1 hour 15 minute class.
Sun Rise Yoga
A flowing class with an emphasis on Sun Salutations (modifications will be given as needed). Suitable for all levels. A great way to start your day. 1 hour class. General Class
Suitable for students with some yoga experience. A wider range of asanas (postures), will be introduced. 1 hour 15 minute class. Slow Paced
A slow paced, less vigorous class with an emphasis on soothing the nervous system. Suitable for all students who want to enjoy the rejuvenating effects of a quieter class. 1 hour 15 minute class. Private and small group classes. Do you prefer personal attention? A one-on-one session will help you to focus on a particular issue or to refine your personal understanding. We can create a tailored sequence that suits your needs, or build up a home practice. What's Iyengar yoga?

Yoga Amrita teaches Iyengar Yoga, a method developed by yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar & emphasises precision and alignment in the postures. The teaching of Iyengar-style yoga is differentiated from other methods by a world-wide, standardised system of instruction. Teaching is oriented towards gradual but steady progress, rather than quick and fleeting results. Over a period of time, Iyengar Yoga becomes an extremely powerful and sophisticated discipline which can be practised to a very advanced age.

Iyengar Yoga is for anyone irrespective of age, gender, health, religion and circumstances in life. Iyengar Yoga is not competitive. You do not need to be an expert or at the peak of physical fitness to practice yoga. Only certified Iyengar teachers are entitled to use the name of yoga master BKS Iyengar & his teaching method. Beginners Yoga Course
Runs in 10 week blocks $150 ($15 per class)
Intermediate Yoga Course Runs in 10 week blocks $150 ($15 per class)
5-class pass $85 ($17 per class)
10-class pass $150 ($15 per class)
Casual: $20 / $18 concession

Private Sessions
1 hour $85 Class passes valid for 6 months and can be purchased at the front desk with cash or card (debit or credit card).



Community class

Tuesdays 2.30-4pm

We welcome everyone, however the level of this class is general and offers a variety of asanas and some pranayama. Complete beginners are recommended to attend a Beginners Course at first.

Restore & Renew

Saturdays 4.30-6pm

Restore & Renew yoga practice brings balance between doing and undoing, being active and unwinding the nerve system to find steadiness and inner peace in oneself.

Level 1 Courses and Classes (casual)

Wednesdays 6.15-7.30pm

For those who have completed Beginners. You will continue learning the foundations of yoga postures. When you book in, you can attend all other same level classes for free in our studio!

Beginners Courses

Thursdays 7.45-9pm

For those new to yoga, each term we offer an 8-weeks Course that gives you access to 3 classes each week. It teaches the fundamentals of yoga alignment and introduces you into a variety of asanas (yoga poses) to create body & mind awareness. 

Introduction into

Level 2

Thursdays 6-7.30pm

For students with 18 months Iyengar Yoga experience who are able to hold shoulder stand for 5 mins. We will start with introducing supported headstand, more advanced backbending, forward bending and balancing asanas. For progressive learning and to increase mobility in stability!!

Private & Small group classes

Prices start at $85 per hour

Try a private yoga class either one-on-one or with your own group of friends, family or colleagues. Get in touch to discuss pricing options and bookings. Sessions available at the studio or at a location of your choice.​​
